Passage: Exodus 20:16

Preacher: Bishop Jayson Quiñones

Series: Not Optional

Summary:

We must realize, as the church that our testimony is more important to our culture than any other organization on the planet. Our words about anyone or anything, matter. Anything less than the whole truth is deceiving, whether intentional or not, and we have been called to a higher standard by God's Image, which we bear, and His commands, which we are called to obey.

Detail:

#FAKENEWS has become a new catch phrase for falsehood in our culture. Aside from all of the other ugliness that has resulted from our last presidential election, one thing has become clear: not every news source is truthful or even real. Sadder still, is the reality that some of our trusted news sources have been proven to be slanted representations of the facts, if factual at all!

As believers we MUST steer clear of anything that is not truth. We MUST be diligent in our pursuit of and presentation of facts. Good, bad or indifferent the truth MUST always trump our beliefs, desires, fears or doubts, especially in relation to our fellow man, i.e., our neighbor.
