Kingdom Readiness

Kingdom Readiness

Jul 24, 2022

Preacher: Minister Jonathan Reyes

Series: Kingdom Critical

Summary:

It is all too often that we find ourselves busy with our own life. It is just easier to go through the motions than to be ready for a move of God. There is always so much to do, but do we ask ourselves if the work we are doing makes an eternal impact? Maybe it’s better to ask, “Deep down, what is our reason for coming to church”? Is it for the community, the preaching, the music, the programs, for the family or kids, for the ministry, for the atmosphere, because it’s what I have always done? We are going through a series called Kingdom Critical, but has anything spoken about made you realize how critical the kingdom is or is this just another series? A lot of questions, for sure, but it’s because sometimes we approach Christ as an outfit we put on, and the ones who wear the clothes more often are more Christian. A relationship with Christ though can’t be put on pause. A relationship in general can’t be put on pause. It’s not some switch to flip or outfit to put on. Christ is a fact, a reality, the truth. You don’t have a choice on whether or not He exists. You don’t have a choice on whether or not He’ll return. He does exist and He will return. The choice you can make though, is whether or not you’ll have a relationship with Him. One more question for you though, do you actually think this all worth it?

Detail:

Sermon Points

  1. Know where you live
  2. You can fake it, but you'll be forsaken
  3. Being ready means putting the work in all the time

Christ calls us to always be ready for Him to return at any moment or risk being left out.

Closing Thoughts

Are you ready for when Christ comes?
