We are all born like Bartamaeus: blind. It is not until we have an encounter with Christ, the savior, the One who came to open the eyes of the blind that we truly begin to see. At the moment we encounter Jesus we are faced with a crisis of belief. Do we trust Him and believe Him at His word or not? Those that put their faith and trust in Him are granted sight. The next step becomes clear: accompany Jesus on the road. And as we walk with Christ, we will have the privilege to invite others to have their eyes opened as well.
