Guarded, Grounded, and Governed by Gratitude

Guarded, Grounded, and Governed by Gratitude

Nov 19, 2023

Passage: Psalms 95:1-100:1

Preacher: Bishop Jayson Quiñones

Series: Sunday Sermons

Summary:

Pastor Frank posted a picture in front of a Christmas tree, saying, “Some of y’all too early, disrespecting THANKSgiving, haaaa.” This made me think about the stress of holidays, and how SO MANY of us have a love hate relationship with them…the fact is, these are seasons that should afford us the opportunity to slow down, reflect on God’s goodness, and enjoy family. Above all, it should be a time that our gratitude towards the Lord is increased.

Detail:

Sermon Points

  1. We must guard our hearts from ingratitude: (Rom. 1:18-25; II Tim. 3:1-5)
  2. We must seek to be grounded in gratitude: (Col. 2:6-7, 3:12-17, 4:2)
  3. We must ensure our lives are governed by gratitude: (I Thess. 5:16-18)

A heart trained in gratitude will ensure the right perspective no matter the season of life

Closing Thoughts

Are you living governed by gratitude?
