Caught in the Act

Caught in the Act

Jan 12, 2020

Passage: John 7:53-8:11

Preacher: Bishop Jayson Quiñones

Series: When Necessary

Summary:

The question is, why is evangelism so hard? Jesus is literally the best thing that ever happened to me…why would it be hard to share His message with others? The greatest factor to the difficulty of evangelism is the spiritual battle going on for souls. The enemy infiltrates our hearts with doubts, fears, and confusions that hinder our efforts and effectiveness in evangelism!

Detail:

Main Points

  1. Effective evangelism imitates Jesus: (vv. 7:53-8:4a; John 5:19-20, 12:49-50, 14:31)
  2. Effective evangelism doesn’t avoid the mess: (vv.4-6)
  3. Effective evangelism addresses sin biblically, with grace and truth: (vv.7-11)

Exposed sin is a great opportunity to extend grace and mercy rather than condemnation
