More than ideas or an ideology or a set of facts, Truth is a Person. To know the person of Jesus Christ is to know truth and that is to know the only truth that can save us, set us free and establish our lives in the purpose for which we were created!

Bishop J. B. Lightfoot says of the Epistle to the Colossians, “The doctrine of the Person of Christ is here stated with greater precision and fullness than in any other of St. Paul’s epistles.” This was necessary since the heresies of Jewish legalism and Pagan mysticism, which plagued the church of Colossae, were primary attacks against the Person of Jesus Christ!

We must be vigilant against the unbiblical teachings and beliefs that are being introduced to the church. Our best guard isn’t becoming well versed in the false, but being well acquainted with the TRUTH!!!
