Stealing

Stealing

Mar 11, 2018

Passage: Exodus 20:15

Preacher: Bishop Jayson Quiñones

Series: Not Optional

Summary:

We must recognize that God has proven Himself to be our faithful provider. Anytime we steal we not only fail to reflect His character but also demonstrate a lack of trust in Gods provision, lack of appreciation for God's provision or a lack of respect of God's provision in the ownership of others.

Detail:

Of all the horizontal commands even the most immoral of our society would agree the stealing is wrong, especially if it is from them…Stealing shows a lack of respect for the possessions of others, like adultery does marriage!

In a culture that is less trustworthy due to scams, false advertisements, and deceitful salesman, dishonest recruiters (aka “Headhunters”) and the like, the church MUST take serious the command not to steal, as it is foundational to our dealing honestly with each other!!

We must understand that God “hates dishonest scales”, as covenant-kingdom people we must be trustworthy and that is by us walking in integrity and showing respect and value for the possessions of others!!!
